Robin Hill

Robin Hill is a three-bedroom bungalow on Porthpean Beach Road, 100 metres from Porthpean Beach - close enough that you can check the tide without getting in the car. The bungalow sleeps six and has an unusual two sitting-room layout, which gives larger groups or two families practical separation. Fuel and power are included in the rental price, which removes the metered-energy uncertainty common in older properties.

The bungalow has an enclosed garden, and off-street parking. A full set of practical kit is included: dishwasher, washing machine, and Wi-Fi. Two bathrooms serve the three bedrooms. Two well-behaved pets are welcome, and guests are asked to clean up after them. The property is not wheelchair adapted, and it is not possible to charge an EV car there.

Charlestown Beach, with its Georgian harbour and the tall ships that use it as a film location, is 0.7 miles along the coast road. Carlyon Bay, one of the longest sandy beaches in the area, is 1.2 miles. The Eden Project is around 5 miles north by road - worth a half-day even for return visitors. St Austell town - supermarkets, the rail station, and the Brewery Visitor Centre - is a 10-minute drive.

Best for families or two-family groups wanting a reliable beach-access bungalow with minimal fuss and an enclosed garden. Less good for anyone needing a town-centre location or step-free access throughout.
