Fairways 4

Fairways 4 is a south-facing lodge on a holiday park about 1.5 miles from Dobwalls in south-east Cornwall, within reach of Liskeard. The 9-hole golf course is just yards away, and the enclosed terrace looks out over open countryside. A private hot tub on the terrace is tested and treated twice a day.

The lodge is on one level. The open-plan living space has a kitchen with a five-burner gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, wine chiller and air fryer, a dining area and a sitting area. There are two TVs with Netflix and Prime, a CD player and a selection of books. The double bedroom has an en-suite with a bath, shower over, basin and WC, and there is a separate shower room. An entrance lobby doubles as a boot room and holds the washing machine. Gas central heating is included, along with bed linen, towels, fuel and power.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, and guests who want to bring a second pet should contact the owners first. The park has a secure dog park and 24 acres of green space for walking. Other on-site amenities include a tennis court, a games room, an outdoor playground, a nature trail and fishing on the River Fowey. Parking is off-road for two cars. Smoking is not allowed.

The shop is 1.6 miles away and the pub 1.4 miles. Fairways 4 suits two couples or a small family who want a hot tub and space for a dog, and is less good for anyone hoping to bring a second pet without asking first, or for a party of more than four.
