The enclosed meadow garden is the standout feature: a wood-fired hot tub and fire pit make it genuinely usable into the evening even in shoulder season. Dogs are welcome. There is no Wi-Fi - useful to know if remote working is part of the plan.

The nearest village with a shop and pub is about 2.4 miles away. Bude itself, with its two beaches and the Bude Canal, is a 20-minute drive. The South West Coast Path at Crackington Haven is 6 miles west - one of the more dramatic stretches of the north Cornwall coast, with 400-foot cliffs above the beach.

Best for couples wanting a quiet rural retreat with genuine outdoor amenities - particularly in shoulder season when the hot tub earns its keep. Less good for anyone relying on Wi-Fi or public transport - this is a car-essential property in farming country, with no passing buses and no footpath to the village.
