Great Meadow Barn

Great Meadow Barn is a three-bedroom converted barn on Vosporth Road in Crantock, sleeping 6 across two bathrooms, with an open fire and a private garden. The barn sits roughly 1km from Crantock Beach - a wide, dune-backed bay on the mouth of the Gannel estuary - and the same distance from the village centre. Changeover is Saturday.

Inside, the barn has space for families or groups of friends: three bedrooms, a full kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, and the open fire as the living room focal point. The garden is usable for most of the Cornish season. Parking is included.

Fistral Beach - Newquay's famous surf beach - is 1.6km east. The Crantock village pub, a National Trust tea room, and a shop are all within 500m. Porth Joke, a small National Trust cove, is a 20-minute walk west along the headland from the beach.

The barn has 20 reviews on Sykes. Newquay town centre, with its restaurants and surf shops, is around 3km north-east - worth the drive for an evening out rather than something to walk to.

Best for families or groups of six wanting a coastal base with easy beach access and genuine countryside around the property. Less good for anyone needing hot tub facilities or a dog-friendly cottage.
