Helford

Helford is a one-bedroom cottage at Tresooth Cottages, on the edge of Mawnan Smith, and it sleeps two. The bedroom is a mezzanine with a super-king bed, reached by climbing up from the open-plan living area, and the shower room is on the ground floor. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

The bed is a zip-and-link, so it can be set up as twins if you arrange it beforehand. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a coffee machine. Heating is central, and there is air conditioning. A patio with furniture belongs to the cottage, and a highchair, travel cot and stairgate can be arranged for an extra charge.

The complex adds a shared outdoor heated swimming pool, an indoor and an outdoor hot tub, a sauna, a games room and a children's play area. The pool is open from Easter to the end of September, with no lifeguard, and children must be supervised by an adult over 18. The hot tub and sauna run year-round on daily opening hours. EV charging points are shared and paid for through the Monta app.

The shop is 0.5 miles away and the pub is 1.8 miles. Hen and stag groups need approval before booking, and in the school summer holidays only seven-night stays are taken. No smoking. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included.

It suits a couple who want on-site leisure facilities, with one dog if they like; the mezzanine bedroom makes it less good for anyone who prefers to avoid stairs.
