Mousehole

Floor-to-ceiling windows light the mezzanine bedroom at Mousehole, a one-bedroom cottage at Tresooth Cottages in Mawnan Smith. The king-size bed is a zip/link and can be made up as twin beds if requested, with the owner told beforehand. Two guests can stay.

The open-plan living area contains a kitchen, a dining space and a desk for working. Cooking is on an electric oven and hob, with a microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and coffee machine alongside. There is a Smart TV with streaming access and high-speed WiFi, and heating is by central heating plus air conditioning. The shower room is on the ground floor and has a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. A front patio comes with furniture. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Ample off-road parking is available. Site facilities are shared: the heated outdoor pool is open from Easter to the end of September, without lifeguard cover, and all children must be supervised by a parent or an adult over 18. The indoor and outdoor hot tub and sauna are open year-round at set daily hours. The communal games room has table tennis, a pool table and table football, and there is a children's play area. Shared EV charging points are paid for through the Monta app. The shop is 0.5 miles away and the pub 1.8 miles.

Pets are not allowed, and neither is smoking. Hen and stag parties need approval before booking, and in the school summer holidays only 7-night bookings are taken. Mousehole suits a couple, and is less good for anyone travelling with a dog.
