Hillview sits in an elevated position in Polzeath, North Cornwall's seaside resort village, at the top of Higher Tristram Road. This coastal cottage sleeps 6 across 3 bedrooms with private parking, an ideal base for a family holiday near the beach.

The open-plan sitting and dining area has ample seating and a TV. A spacious kitchen with breakfast bar seating for two suits family cooking or a Cornish cream tea after a day on the sand. The master double bedroom has a large window and nautical decor, while a bunk room and a twin bedroom give the rest of the party their own space. The family bathroom has both a bath and a shower for rinsing off sand and salt.

Outside, a terrace and sloping garden catch the sea breeze, and the garage doubles as storage for bikes, boards, and beach gear, with a washing machine also fitted there. Polzeath beach, a popular surfing spot with cafes, restaurants, a beach shop and bakery, is a five-minute downhill walk or cycle. Rock is reachable by car or via a 3.5-mile stretch of the South West Coast Path with views over the Camel Estuary, and the ferry from there crosses to Padstow for restaurants, boutique shops and the Camel Trail.

Best for families wanting a base close to the beach, since Hillview is a ground-floor bungalow with an EV charger on site. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking. Less good for groups needing more than one bathroom, as the three bedrooms share a single family bathroom.
