Porth Joke beach is under a mile away - a National Trust cove with no car access, which keeps visitor numbers low in comparison to nearby alternatives. Holywell Bay is 0.7 miles and offers a wide beach backed by sand dunes and caves at the cliff base. Vugga Cove is around a mile. Having three options within about a mile is a practical advantage for guests wanting variety across a week's stay. The farm setting means the immediate surroundings are rural and quiet, though Newquay's restaurants and shops are accessible by car for evenings out.

Children cannot be accommodated at this property, and dogs are not allowed. The cottage is single-storey, but there is a step to the property and a step down to the lawn. Changeover is on Saturdays.
