Kerrek Lodge

Kerrek Lodge is a single-storey, three-bedroom cottage in Mylor Bridge, sleeping five guests. Built as a low-carbon home with solar panels, a heat source pump and battery storage, it has underfloor heating throughout and sits within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Inside, the king-size bedroom has an en-suite with walk-in shower, double basin and heated towel rail. A double bedroom and a single bedroom (with trundle bed, suited to children) share a bathroom with bath and shower over. The kitchen/diner is equipped with an oven, hob, fridge, washer/dryer and dishwasher. A utility room provides additional storage. The sitting room has a Smart TV and WiFi. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

The enclosed rear garden has a lawn, patio, outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Ample off-road parking is provided. The Lemon Arms pub and village shops are half a mile away, and Mylor Yacht Harbour - with boat hire, paddleboard rental and dinghy courses - is a short walk along the creek.

Castle Beach in Falmouth is 3.1 miles south, with rock pools and clear water for snorkelling below Pendennis Castle. Gyllyngvase Beach, a Blue Flag sandy beach with a cafe, is 3.2 miles away. Falmouth itself - with its maritime museum, independent shops and seafood restaurants - is less than five miles from the door.

Best for families with young children, thanks to the trundle bed, travel cot and highchair available in the single-storey layout. Less good for anyone wanting a beach on the doorstep - Castle Beach is a 3.1-mile drive from the cottage.
