Regatta Cottage

Regatta Cottage is a Grade II listed three-bedroom on Point Quay, set on the water at Restronguet Creek north of Mylor Bridge. It sleeps six across two doubles and a twin, with two bathrooms - enough for two couples and two children to share without queuing for the shower.

The cottage keeps its period bones: an open fire in the sitting room, low ceilings, creekside windows. Practical kit covers a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi and off-road parking for four cars, and the gardens at the front and back are enclosed. The ground floor holds two twin bedrooms and a shower room, with the double bedroom and family bathroom upstairs. Guests who need step-free access should check with the host before booking. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.

The setting is the draw. Restronguet Creek floods and drains twice a day, with sailing boats moored off the quay and the thatched Pandora Inn a short walk along the foreshore. Mylor Yacht Harbour with its chandlery is about two miles south, Falmouth and its working port are 10 minutes by car, and the National Maritime Museum is the obvious wet-weather option. Castle Beach is the closest sand, a short drive away.

Best for sailing-curious couples, families with older children, and dog owners. Less good for anyone wanting a level, modern interior or beach-on-the-doorstep access.
