Woodbine Cottage is a four-bedroom in Mylor Bridge, the village at the head of Mylor Creek on the Fal estuary. It sleeps seven across two doubles, a twin and a single, with two bathrooms - workable for a family of seven or a small group with mixed sleeping arrangements.

The sitting room has an open fire (no wood burner here despite the sister-Sykes properties offering one), and the kitchen runs to a dishwasher and washing machine. The enclosed garden is the practical feature for dog owners and families with small children, with off-road parking included. Wifi covers the basics; there is no sea view from the cottage and the layout is not flagged as accessible by the owner.

Mylor Yacht Harbour with its sailing school and chandlery is two miles down the creek, and the Pandora Inn at Restronguet Creek is the local waterside pub. Castle Beach in Falmouth is 2.7 miles, with Gyllyngvase Beach 2.8 miles and Swanpool Beach 3 miles - all within a 15-minute drive. Truro is 8 miles north, and the King Harry Ferry crossing the Fal to the Roseland is around 5 miles away. Saturday changeover.

Best for families of six or seven, dog owners and groups wanting a creek-side village base. Less good for two-couple groups wanting matched bedrooms or guests needing single-floor living.
