Kingsholm

Kingsholm is a 3-bedroom cottage in Porthtowan, a surf village on the north coast between St Agnes and Portreath. The property sits about 100 metres from the beach and sleeps 6 across a king-size, a double, and a twin bedroom.

Inside, the open-plan lounge and dining area connects to a kitchen equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. A Smart TV, WiFi, and a cupboard of DVDs, puzzles, and games are provided. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and heated towel rail. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

The enclosed rear garden has a lawn, outdoor furniture, barbecue, and an outdoor shower - useful after a session in the surf. Off-road parking fits 1 car, or 2 parked nose to tail. Portreath Beach, a sandy north coast beach backed by a historic harbour, is 4.6km east, while Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes - with remains of old harbour walls and mine workings on the cliffs - is 4.8km away.

Porthtowan's Blue Flag beach has seasonal lifeguard cover and reliable surf. The Blue Bar, built directly on the sand, serves food and drinks with Atlantic views. The coast path south leads to Chapel Porth and the Wheal Coates engine house ruins in about 2 miles. Redruth and Camborne are around 15 minutes south for shopping, and Truro is 20 minutes east.
