Lanhydrock Barn

Lanhydrock Barn is a three-bedroom barn conversion for six near Lanhydrock, the National Trust estate with its Victorian country house and 900 acres of woodland south of Bodmin. Two bathrooms serve the three bedrooms, and dogs are welcome throughout.

A private hot tub and a barbecue area give the group a reason to stay outdoors between visits to the estate. Wi-Fi, parking, a washing machine and an EV charging point are included. There is no dishwasher or garden at the property, and there's no step-free access either.

The barn sits close to Bokiddick, a farming hamlet with an Iron Age hut circle and views toward the Helman Tor hillfort. Lanhydrock's formal gardens carry an exceptional collection of magnolias and rhododendrons, at their best from March to May, and the estate's mountain bike trails connect to nearby Cardinham Woods. The Camel Trail toward Padstow starts a short distance away, and Bodmin itself is a short drive for shops and the Eden Project, about 5 miles south.

Carlyon Bay, a long sandy beach with a gently sloping seabed, is 7.3 miles away; Charlestown Beach, the Poldark-filming harbour beach, is 7.8 miles; and Readymoney Cove near Fowey is 8.2 miles.
