Laurel Lodge

Laurel Lodge is a single-storey lodge on Bossiney Bay Holiday Park near Tintagel, sleeping 4 in 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Private decking makes the most of the quiet park setting. An electric fire takes the edge off cooler evenings.

The cottage has Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, and off-road parking. The kitchen has an oven, gas hob, microwave and integrated fridge-freezer. The double bedroom has an en-suite walk-in shower, and the twin room is served by a bathroom with bath and shower over. A highchair and travel cot are available on request, and a three-night minimum stay applies. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am. The park is not dog-friendly, so this one suits guests travelling without pets. Arrivals and departures are on Friday, Saturday or Monday only. Tregardock Beach is 3.4 miles away along the coast.

The shop and beach are 0.6 miles away. Bossiney Cove is a narrow, cliff-backed beach, and the way down to it and to Benoath Cove is a steep, partially stepped narrow pathway. The beach sits between two headlands and is quiet even in August. Tintagel village, with the English Heritage castle site perched on its headland promontory, is around 1.5 miles. The South West Coast Path runs along the clifftop here, connecting Bossiney to Rocky Valley and Trebarwith Strand to the south.

Best for: couples and small families wanting a quiet base close to north Cornwall's Arthurian coast. Tintagel itself draws visitors for the castle and the coast path. Less good for: guests who are bringing dogs. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking.
