Porthmeor Beach, the Atlantic-facing surf beach below Tate St Ives, is 200 metres away - lifeguarded in season with surf hire and lessons available. Porthgwidden Beach, a smaller sheltered cove with calm water and a beachside cafe, lies 300 metres in the other direction. St Ives harbour, the Tate gallery, and the narrow lanes of the old fishing quarter are all within a 5-minute walk. The town has four beaches in total, each with a different character.

Best for couples or small families happy to walk everywhere, with the beach, harbour and galleries all under five minutes away. Less suited to guests with a dog, since the property does not accept pets.
