A single-storey lodge at Killiow Golf Club near Carnon Downs, sleeping six in three bedrooms: two super-king rooms with en-suites and a twin, plus a separate wet room. The lodge is single-level with no steps, an extra-wide corridor and a gentle ramp from the adjacent private parking bay, and the Killiow lodges are described as fully wheelchair accessible. The wet room has a walk-in shower, with a shower chair available on request. Two fireplaces: a wood burner and an open fire in the main living room.

The cottage has a garden and off-road parking. Inside: dishwasher, washing machine, and Wi-Fi. Two well-behaved pets are welcome, with a supplement fee for the second pet. Saturday changeover. The dual-fireplace setup - both a wood burner and an open fire - is unusual and makes this work well as an autumn or winter rental.

Carnon Downs is roughly mid-point between Truro and the coast. St Mawes on the Roseland is 6.2 miles south - the ferry crossing to Falmouth leaves from the quay there. Castle Beach in Falmouth is also 6.2 miles, and Pendower Beach on the Roseland about 6.3 miles. Truro city centre, with the cathedral and the county museum, is a short drive north. The A39 runs close by, giving straightforward access to both Falmouth and the King Harry Ferry for the Roseland without going through Truro.

Best for: groups or families with a wheelchair user who need a single-level, ramped property with a wet room and good access to both Falmouth and the Roseland. Less good for: those wanting direct beach access.
