Moorings is a 4-bedroom beachfront house in the centre of Cawsand, sleeping up to 8 guests (6 adults and 2 children, as the fourth bedroom has bunk beds) across 2 bathrooms. Sea and beach views are visible from all front-facing windows. A terraced garden overlooks Cawsand Bay. The property is dog-friendly, has a washing machine, and includes Wi-Fi. Prices start from £703 per week. Saturday changeover.

Cawsand Beach is on the doorstep - the house is positioned directly above the bay, with the beach a few steps down from the village. Kingsand Beach, Cawsand's twin village, is 0.3km along the coastal path and shares the same sheltered inlet. Cawsand Beach and Kingsand face east across Plymouth Sound, which keeps the water calmer and warmer than the open Atlantic beaches further west - a practical advantage for families with younger children or paddleboard users. Whitsand Bay, the long exposed surf beach on the Rame Peninsula's south coast, is 5.7km by road.

Cawsand village has a pub, a tea room, a fish shop, and an annual Midsummer festival. Plymouth city centre, with its university, theatre, and waterfront, is accessible by seasonal passenger ferry across Plymouth Sound - around 25 minutes each way and running from around Easter to October.

Best for families or groups who want a genuine waterfront location on the quieter Rame Peninsula, with dog-friendly access and a working village on the doorstep. Not suited to guests with limited mobility - Cawsand's streets are narrow and hilly.
