Ocean Echo

Ocean Echo is a four-bedroom house in Bude, sleeping eight with access to a shared pool and two beaches within a mile. Bude's tidal sea pool at Summerleaze is close by for family swimming, a short walk from the house alongside Crooklets, the town's main surf beach.

The bedrooms comprise a super-king-size room, a double, a bunk room for children and a twin with zip-and-link beds that can become a super-king on request. Only two bathrooms serve all eight guests, so this suits a family more than several sharing couples. A wood burner, WiFi, dishwasher and washing machine are included, and up to two dogs can stay. The kitchen has an electric range oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, and the utility room has a tumble dryer and a freezer as well as the washing machine. There is a ground-floor WC, and the gated garden has extra off-road parking for two vehicles.

The enclosed rear garden has a barbecue for evenings in. Crooklets Beach and Summerleaze Beach are both 0.6 miles away, and Northcott Mouth is 1.1 miles for quieter rock pooling. Merlin's Cave and Tintagel Castle make for driving outings further afield, and Bude's golf course sits within the town for anyone wanting a round between beach days.

**Best for:** families wanting flexible bedding, pool access and two beaches within a mile, with room for two dogs.

**Less good for:** groups needing more than one bathroom.
