Omalast

Omalast is a one-bedroom cottage near Chacewater, a village a few miles west of Truro in central Cornwall. It sleeps 2 and is all on one level, set within eight acres of private grounds shared with five other cottages. The private hot tub sits outside in the enclosed garden, and a wood burner with open fire provides warmth indoors. Dishwasher, washing machine, parking, and Wi-Fi are all included. Two well-behaved pets are welcome at £40 per pet, per week.

The location is inland and rural. The nearest beach is about 5 miles away and the shops are about 3 miles away. Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes is a compact cove with surf hire and a seasonal cafe that handles the summer crowds reasonably well. Trevaunance Cove is best visited at low tide when the sand is exposed. Portreath is 7.1 miles north, a more sheltered bay with a small harbour and surf school.

Truro is under 20 minutes by car for shopping, restaurants, and the cathedral. Falmouth is also reachable in around 30 minutes.

Ideal for couples or pairs wanting a quiet rural retreat with a hot tub, within reach of both the north and south coasts. Babies are welcome, but children over 2 years are not accepted: the maximum occupancy is two adults plus an infant. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking. Less good for guests wanting a coastal position. Friday changeover.
