Overdale

Overdale is a Victorian end-terrace townhouse over three floors in Looe, with estuary views and an elevated position reached by a shared sloping path and steps. The shop, pub and river are all 0.1 miles away, and the beach is 0.5 miles. The living and dining room has glazed doors onto the decking, and the kitchen has a gas hob, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. A utility room holds a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Four bedrooms sleep eight. The first floor has a twin with en-suite walk-in shower and a king-size looking over the river, with a shower room and a cloakroom; on the second floor are a further king-size and a double, with their own shower room. Bed linen and towels are included, along with fuel and power.

A side gate opens to an enclosed garden with decking and furniture, and two well-behaved pets are welcome. Several steps and a steep slope lead up to the entrance, so it is unsuitable for guests with limited mobility. No smoking.

The townhouse suits a large family or two families sharing, with the enclosed garden useful for children and dogs. It is less good for anyone arriving with a lot of luggage and no help, or for anyone who cannot manage steps.
