Penhallick House

Penhallick House is a detached five-bedroom house on the edge of Tintagel, sleeping ten across five bedrooms with two bathrooms. All five bedrooms are on the first floor, with a cloakroom, kitchen, conservatory, play room and study on the ground floor. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.

The house has a garden, an indoor play room, and a BBQ - plus wifi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine. Changeover day is Saturday. Two bathrooms serve ten guests, which is worth factoring in for larger groups. The space and the garden are the main draws here.

Tintagel Castle (English Heritage) is within walking distance - the headland ruins are reached via a 2019 footbridge spanning a 58-metre gorge. Bossiney Cove beach is 1.2 miles away. Tregardock Beach, reached only on foot via the coast path, is 2.4 miles south. Rocky Valley - with its ruined mills and 3,000-year-old carved labyrinths - is a 10-minute drive. Best for large groups or multi-family stays wanting a north coast base with castle access and plenty of room. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking. Less suitable for couples or small groups - ten beds and two bathrooms work at capacity, not under it.
