Penthouse View

Penthouse View sits at Belyars Croft Apartments in St Ives, above the bay. The living area has vaulted ceilings, oak flooring and floor-to-ceiling glass doors onto a decked balcony facing the sea, with a table and four chairs. A modular five-seater sofa faces a 50-inch smart TV, and the kitchen, with a dishwasher and washer/dryer, flows into a dining area around a circular table.

Both bedrooms are at the rear. The super-king has an en-suite enclosed shower, and the twin is opposite the family bathroom, which has a bath with a shower over. Both rooms have smart TVs. It sleeps four, and children over the age of 8 are welcome. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included, and a lockable shed in the grounds is available to guests to store beach gear, surfboards or bikes.

Access is up three flights of internal stairs, and there is no lift. Parking is by permit, in an unallocated space at the rear of the building. The shop is 0.3 miles away, the pub 0.4 miles and the beach 0.5 miles. Building work is under way next door at Carrick Lodge, reached by the shared driveway through the Belyars Croft parking area, and is expected to continue throughout 2026. No pets, no smoking.

It suits a couple or a family with older children, but the three flights of stairs make it less good for anyone who wants to avoid stairs.
