Pinetree Lodge

Pinetree Lodge is a six-bedroom lodge in New Polzeath sleeping 12, positioned on the quieter clifftop village above the surf with a garden gate that opens directly onto a woodland footpath to Baby Bay. The village has a calmer character than Polzeath itself - useful for large groups who want beach access without the summer crowds.

The lodge sleeps 12 across six rooms: a super-king, a second super-king that converts to twin on request, a king, a double, a twin, and a bunk bedroom. Two of the upper rooms have treetop sea views. A games room with table football adjoins the main kitchen/diner - handy on wet days. The BBQ is available in the garden, and two dogs are welcome. Parking is provided for up to six cars.

Polzeath Beach is about 500 metres on foot - a half-mile RNLI-patrolled surf beach with left and right-hand breaks for all abilities and several surf hire shops. Greenaway Beach, a quieter foot-access-only cove with good rock pools, is about 1 mile. The coast path from the village runs north to Pentire Point (about 2 miles) for one of north Cornwall's best headland walks, with seals and sea birds along the way. Rock and the Padstow water taxi are about 3 miles south.

Best for: families and multi-generational groups wanting surf-close accommodation with car parking and dog-friendly grounds, plus easy access to the coast path. Less good for: couples or small groups - the lodge is sized for large bookings and pricing reflects that.
