Polsue Gardens Monterey

Polsue Gardens Monterey is a contemporary wooden lodge for two, set in established gardens in the countryside outside Truro. The single bedroom has a super king-size zip-and-link bed that converts to twins on request, and there is one bathroom. Access to the lodge is via steps and a sloping path, so guests with mobility needs should check the approach first.

Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a garden and a barbecue are included. A covered outdoor seating area means guests can eat outside through changeable weather rather than only on fine days. One dog can stay.

Truro, Cornwall's only city, is around 3 miles from the lodge, centred on a Gothic Revival cathedral completed in 1910 and the indoor Pannier Market and independent shops along Lemon Street. Pendower Beach is 5.2 miles away, Carne Beach 5.4 miles and Porthluney Bay 7.6 miles, so the Roseland coast and the north coast are driving trips rather than doorstep options.
