Portmellon Cove Guesthouse

A three-bedroom B&B in Portmellon, a small cove settlement a half-mile south of Mevagissey, with sea views across the cove and a garden. The elevated position above Portmellon beach gives the property an outlook along the South Cornwall coast that the busier guesthouses in Mevagissey village rarely match.

Three bedrooms with sea views, Wi-Fi, and parking on site. No dishwasher or washing machine - this is B&B accommodation, priced per night. The garden and terrace are usable in decent weather. Portmellon is quieter than Mevagissey but it's a short walk to the village's fishing harbour and restaurants.

Gorran Haven beach is 1.6 miles by road - a small sandy cove with a lifeboat station and a sheltered swimming bay. Pentewan beach is 1.9 miles north, and Hemmick Beach - a narrow cove with no facilities and fewer crowds - is 2.5 miles along the coast path. The Eden Project is 9 miles by car.

Best for: couples and small parties who want a quieter base near Mevagissey without the summer traffic of the village itself. Portmellon is also a reasonable starting point for walking the South West Coast Path south towards the Roseland. Less good for: families needing self-catering facilities or travellers who want direct beach access from the doorstep.
