Pymp

Pymp is a top-floor apartment for six in an Edwardian townhouse in Port Isaac, the fishing village familiar to viewers of Doc Martin. Two super-king zip-link beds can become twins on request, and the twin zip-link in the third bedroom converts to a king. Three bathrooms match the bedroom count.

Sea views reach towards the Tintagel headland from the open-plan living space, where a wood burner is the focal point. Two sets of French doors lead from the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area onto two balconies, and a utility room leads off the kitchen. Each bedroom has a Smart TV. Parking, a dishwasher, washing machine and garden are included, and up to two dogs are allowed. The top-floor position means stairs throughout.

Port Gaverne Beach, a sheltered cove with a sandy beach at low tide, is 300 metres away and about a 10-minute walk from the village centre. Tregardock Beach is 3.2 miles and Polzeath Beach is 4.2 miles. The South West Coast Path runs past both, and Port Isaac's harbour restaurants, including Nathan Outlaw's Michelin-starred kitchen, are a short walk down the hill.

**Best for:** Three couples or a family wanting one bathroom per bedroom, sea views and Port Gaverne Beach on the doorstep.

**Less good for:** Guests avoiding stairs.
