River Tamar cottage, Gunnislake

Overlooking the River Tamar, this cottage in Gunnislake is set for two guests and looks out over the valley. The single bedroom has a king-size bed and a Smart TV, and the ground-floor shower room has a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

Downstairs the kitchen, dining area and sitting area share one open-plan room. The kitchen carries an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, air fryer, washing machine, dishwasher, iron and ironing board, plus a kettle and toaster. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are all included, and there is WiFi and a Smart TV.

The garden is terraced, with a lawn, a patio, a firepit and furniture, and it is fenced, though children must not be left unsupervised there. Firepit logs can be bought from the owner for an extra charge. Bike and kayak storage is available, and dog sitting can be booked for the day when the hosts are free. Parking is on a private driveway.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not allowed. Steps run throughout the cottage, so it is not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. The shop is 0.4 miles away, the pub 0.5 miles, and the lake 0.1 miles. It suits a couple with dogs who want river views; it is less good for anyone who finds steps difficult.
