Rosenwyn is a three-bedroom cottage in Porthleven, one of Cornwall’s top food destinations on the south coast. The cottage sleeps 5 across one floor and sits close enough to the harbour that the Atlantic is visible from the terrace - Porthleven Beach is 100 metres away.

Inside, the open-plan living space has French doors opening directly onto a private terrace with sea views. The three bedrooms comprise a king-size room, a twin zip-and-link (convertible to a super-king on request), and a single - a practical layout for a group of five. Two bathrooms, a dishwasher, and a washing machine cover the practicalities. Note: there is no Wi-Fi at this property.

The cottage has a garden and parking, and dogs are welcome. From the front door, the South West Coast Path connects east to Loe Bar - a shingle bank separating the sea from the freshwater Loe Pool - and west past Rinsey Head and the ruins of Wheal Prosper engine house. Porthcew Rinsey Cove is 4 miles along this western stretch.

Porthleven itself has a growing restaurant scene centred on the harbour, anchored by Kota and Kota Kai from Rick Stein-trained chef Jude Kereama. The annual Porthleven Food Festival takes place in April. Helston is 3 miles north, and Penzance is roughly 8 miles west.

**Best for:** couples or families of up to five who want a beach-walking, food-focused base on the south coast with a dog-friendly, car-free beach on the doorstep. **Less good for:** those needing Wi-Fi or looking for a pool; this is a simple, well-located cottage rather than a luxury retreat.
