Sea views run across the full width of the property. The master super-king bedroom has a private balcony facing the Atlantic - the outlook is particularly useful in winter when Atlantic storm swell breaks against the harbour wall. Three bathrooms for five guests removes the usual morning bottleneck. Dishwasher included; note there is no washing machine and no Wi-Fi.

The south-west-facing garden and patio work well for outdoor meals in the warmer months. One dog welcome. Off-street parking on-site. Porthleven Beach faces directly into Atlantic swell and is a known winter surf spot for experienced surfers; calmer conditions from late May suit families. Porthcew Rinsey Cove is 4.6km along the coast path west, and Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach is 5.2km. The South West Coast Path passes through the village in both directions.

Porthleven has a growing food reputation. Kota Restaurant, run by Rick Stein-trained chef Jude Kereama, sits on the harbour alongside Kota Kai and several other options. The annual Porthleven Food Festival runs each April. Helston is 3 miles north; the Lizard is 20 minutes south. Best for couples or families who want sea views, a strong food scene, and a beach on the doorstep. Less suited to guests who need Wi-Fi or want a washing machine.
