Rosevear

Rosevear is a ground-floor apartment on Headland Road, on the cliff top in Carbis Bay. The bay windows in the sitting area look across the bay to Godrevy Lighthouse, and the same view carries through the oak-floored open-plan kitchen and dining space. A 55-inch TV with surround sound, Sky Stream, Netflix and a PS4 are there for the evenings, and the kitchen has a bean-to-cup coffee machine and a dishwasher.

It sleeps four in two en-suite bedrooms at the rear: a king, and a twin whose beds can be zip-and-linked into a super-king if requested at least seven days before arrival. A family bathroom with a bath adds a third bathroom. Outside, a seaward-facing patio and a communal garden hold two tables with four chairs each and a bench, and the South West Coast Path is reached from the end of the garden. A 7kW EV charging point is provided, free of charge during the overnight economy 7 hours.

Getting in means 7 steps down from the car park and two up to the front door. Parking is for one car. A cot and highchair are provided, with guests bringing their own cot bedding. No pets and no smoking.

It suits two couples or a small family who want a coast-path start and an electric-car charger, but the steps make it less good for anyone who wants to avoid stairs.
