Rosie's Cottage

Rosie's Cottage is a two-bedroom cottage in Mousehole, the small fishing village on the Penwith peninsula, sleeping four across a double bedroom and a bunk room. No parking comes with the property - this is a village where most visitors park above and walk down. The cottage sits within easy reach of the harbour front, where the historic granite quay shelters the inner beach.

Inside, the cottage has a wood burner in the living area, a private garden, and a BBQ for outdoor cooking. The kitchen is compact but functional for a group of four. No dishwasher or washing machine, but the layout suits a short break rather than a fortnight.

Mousehole Beach is 500m from the door - a small sandy and shingle beach below the harbour wall, sheltered enough for children in calm weather. Lamorna Cove is 1.9 miles further along the coast path, a granite-edged inlet popular with swimmers and divers. For beaches further west, Porthcurno is roughly 7 miles by road and worth the drive.

Best for couples or a family of four who want to be in the middle of village life - pubs, galleries, and the harbour all within a few minutes' walk. Less good for anyone needing parking at the door or a dog (this property is not dog-friendly).
