Rule retreat

Rule Retreat is an apartment at Lower Kenneggy, in the Mount's Bay area near Penzance, and it runs off grid on solar power and batteries. The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with sea views.

The kitchen has an oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a kettle and a toaster. There is a TV and WiFi. Electric central heating is fitted, along with air conditioning that cools and heats. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

The one bedroom has a king-size bed, its own TV and an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Outside, a garden has a patio with furniture, and there is off-road parking.

Marazion, with the causeway to St Michael's Mount, lies along Mount's Bay, and Penzance has Penlee House Gallery and Museum and Morrab Gardens. Mousehole and St Ives, which is 8 miles from Penzance, are further options.

A shop is 0.6 miles away, a pub 0.2 miles and the beach 0.5 miles. Bookings are for seven nights only, so it cannot be used for a short break. The apartment suits a couple or a solo traveller, and with one bedroom it is less good for families. Pets and smoking are not allowed.
