Salty Sea Dog

Salty Sea Dog is a ground-floor 2-bedroom cottage at Trebarwith Strand, sleeping 4 guests in 1 bathroom. The layout is fully on the level with no internal stairs, and the enclosed garden patio has space for eating outside. Dogs are welcome, and the beach is 70 metres from the front door - one of the shortest beach walks available along this stretch of the north Cornish coast.

The cottage comes with wifi, off-road parking, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Changeover is on Fridays.

Trebarwith Strand is a long sandy beach at low tide, cut through slate cliffs that narrow the bay as the tide rises. The beach suits families and dog walkers well - the surf is manageable compared to the more exposed Atlantic-facing coves to the north. The Port William pub sits directly above the beach with food served most days and a terrace looking out over the bay. Tregardock Beach is 1.6 miles north along the coast path, a remote and frequently deserted beach reachable only on foot at low tide. Bossiney Cove is 2.1 miles and similarly requires a cliff descent. Tintagel village, with its castle ruins and visitor centre, is about 2 miles north. The Tintagel area offers some of the most dramatic clifftop walking on the north Cornwall coast.

Best for couples and small families who want ground-floor accommodation with direct beach access. Works for dog owners who need a coastal base. Less good for groups who want surf lessons or evening dining variety - the area has limited restaurants beyond the Port William.
