Three distinct beaches of different characters are within 500 metres, which makes this a genuinely well-positioned base for a group wanting variety.

St Ives town has the Tate St Ives gallery, the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden, and a working harbour with fish merchants and restaurants along the wharf. The town is busy in summer but quieter from October through March when crowds thin and some restaurants close.
