Sea Terrace House, Hidden St Ives

Sea Terrace House, in St Ives, is a reverse-level house. Up the stairs, the kitchen, dining area and sitting area are one open room with underfloor heating, and doors lead out to a furnished terrace facing the sea views. The two bedrooms are on the lower level, so anyone staying needs to be comfortable with stairs between beds and living space.

The king-size bedroom has an en-suite with walk-in shower, basin and WC, and the twin can be made into a super-king-size if you ask before arrival. Each bedroom has a TV. A family bathroom on the same level has a bath with a shower over. In the kitchen you will find an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and toaster, and bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included.

Guests can use the Hidden Lounge within the development, which has a communal hot tub, sauna, steam room, gym and foot spa. Concierge services are arranged directly with the team, and a free chauffeur service covers a two-mile radius once you are checked in, from 7am until 9pm every day.

The beach is 0.3 miles away and the shop 0.2 miles. Off-road parking comes with the house, two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not permitted inside. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request in advance. Christmas and New Year week carries a three-night minimum. It is best for two couples or friends sharing, and less good for a household with a toddler, given the stairs between floors.
