Second-floor apartment for 4 above Carbis Bay beach
Seathrift is a second-floor apartment on the cliff above Carbis Bay Beach. A wall of bay windows in the open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area looks across St Ives Bay towards Godrevy Lighthouse. It sleeps four, in a king-size bedroom and a twin, both at the rear and separate from the living space. The village of Carbis Bay has a small range of shops and restaurants and a railway branch line, and the beach, shops and pubs are a short walk away.
The kitchen has an oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and the dining table seats six. The lounge and main bedroom each have a TV with Freeview, there is a DVD player and digital radio, and WiFi is included. The bathroom has a bath with hand shower and a heated towel rail. Heating is electric central heating, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included. A cot and highchair are provided; guests bring their own cot bedding.
The undercover parking space is for one car and measures 210 cm high, 265 cm wide and 740 cm long. Getting to the front door means climbing twelve steps up one level, then one more step into the apartment. A seaward-facing communal garden is shared with the other apartments, and from there the South West Coast Path leads to St Ives in a 20-minute walk one way, or towards Porthkidney and Hayle the other.
No pets and no smoking. The apartment suits a family of four or two couples, and is less good for anyone who would struggle with the steps.
