Seawynds

Seawynds is a single-storey 3-bedroom cottage in Crantock, sleeping 6 with 1 bathroom. The open fire in the sitting room provides warmth in shoulder-season stays, and the enclosed garden works for families with children or a dog. Wi-Fi, parking for two cars, and a washing machine are included. No dishwasher. Saturday changeover.

Crantock Beach is 800 metres on foot - a wide sandy bay backed by dunes at the mouth of the Gannel estuary. The Gannel crossing to Newquay is seasonal, but in summer it gives access to Newquay's town centre and facilities without driving. The village itself has a pub, a National Trust tea room, and a small shop, making it practical for a week without a car on daily basics.

Porth Joke, known locally as Polly Joke, is walkable along the headland in around 20 minutes - a quiet, undeveloped beach managed by the National Trust that draws far fewer visitors than Crantock itself. Vugga Cove is 1.5km in the other direction.

Suits families or groups of up to 6 who want a quieter Cornish base with a decent beach on foot and a countryside feel. Not great for those who need a dishwasher or want livelier surroundings - Newquay is 3 miles but Crantock itself is village-scale. No pets are accepted at this property. Saturday changeover means arriving fresh for the weekend and leaving the following Saturday.
