Carlyon Bay's longer sandy stretch is 0.7 miles east. Porthpean Beach is 0.9 miles along the coast path south.

The South West Coast Path links Charlestown to both Black Head and the beaches east toward Par. St Austell is 1.9 miles north for supermarkets, a Marks and Spencer, and rail connections. The Eden Project is roughly 10 minutes by car. Mevagissey fishing village is 3.7 miles south along the coast.

This property is a practical choice for a group of five wanting a Charlestown village base with a garden and coast within walking distance. Works for a small family or mixed group. Less good for those wanting a hot tub or open fire. Saturday changeover.
