Studio cottage, Malpas

This studio cottage is in the village of Malpas, near Truro, and it has a reverse-level layout. The kitchen and sitting room are on the ground floor, while the double bedroom is on the lower ground floor. There is a private entrance.

The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster, so meals here are simple. A TV and WiFi are included, heating is electric, and fuel and power are covered in the rent. The shower room has a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC.

Bed linen and towels are not included: they can be bought directly from the owner, so decide before arrival whether to buy them there or bring your own. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am.

Truro has Truro Cathedral, the Royal Cornwall Museum and Victoria Gardens, and Falmouth has Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall. St Mawes, the River Fal and the Roseland Heritage Coast are within reach for sailing and creek walks.

The pub is 0.1 mile away, but the nearest shop is 2.5 miles, so stock up beforehand. The cottage sleeps two and suits a couple, and one double bedroom makes it less good for anyone travelling with children. Pets and smoking are not allowed.
