This is a compact apartment suited to a couple. The village position is the main selling point rather than the apartment itself - Crantock is one of the quieter surf villages on the north Cornish coast, with a pub, a small shop, and a National Trust tea room, all within walking distance.

Crantock Beach is 1.1km south, a wide, dune-backed bay at the mouth of the Gannel estuary. The Gannel is tidal, which means the beach has a slightly different character depending on the time of day - at low tide the estuary sandflats are exposed; at high tide the river runs full and the dunes take over. The beach faces northwest and picks up Atlantic surf. Newquay is visible across the river mouth.

Porth Joke, also known as Polly Joke, is 1.8km along the headland path to the southwest. It has no road access and no car park, so it tends to stay quieter than the more accessible bays. The South West Coast Path runs the clifftop between these two beaches.

Vugga Cove is 1.7km, a small rocky inlet between Crantock and Polly Joke.

Best for couples wanting a village base with walking access to two beaches and a quieter atmosphere than Newquay. Good for walkers and those who want to avoid car trips. Not great for groups - this is a 1-bedroom apartment, and the facilities are limited without a washing machine.
