The RSPB Hayle Estuary reserve is a short walk from Phillack, with wildfowl and wading birds year-round. St Ives is 8 miles by road.

The ground-floor shower room and level threshold from parking to the front door add everyday convenience, though the bedroom itself is up the stairs on the first floor. The fire pit in the enclosed garden extends the usable outdoor season into autumn. Hayle town centre has supermarkets within a mile for self-catering supplies.

Ideal for couples, including those with a dog, who want a quiet village base within reach of St Ives and the north coast beaches.
