Tamarisk House

Tamarisk House is a five-bedroom detached house in Porth, on the northeast edge of Newquay, sleeping up to 10 guests across a main house and separate annex. The first-floor master bedroom has a Juliet balcony and en-suite shower room, with sea views over the coast. A second king en-suite and three further bedrooms - including one with configurable twin/super-king beds - give the layout real flexibility for mixed groups.

The ground floor runs from a sitting room with a wood-burning stove and sea views through to a range-cooker kitchen with breakfast bar, a dining room seating 10, a conservatory with rattan seating, and a snug. The annex garden room houses the hot tub, which seats up to 8 people. Dogs are welcome, and there is off-road parking and a garden. Dishwasher and washing machine are both included.

Whipsiderry Beach is about 700 metres away - a clifftop-access sandy cove that's quieter than Newquay's main strips. Tolcarne Beach, a firm family favourite with summer lifeguards, is under a mile. Watergate Bay is a short drive north, and Fistral Beach - home to the Boardmasters surf festival - is roughly 10 minutes by car. The Blue Reef Aquarium and Newquay Zoo are within easy reach for days away from the beach.

**Best for:** large groups and multigenerational families who want sea views, a hot tub, and dog-friendly space without the noise of central Newquay. **Less good for:** couples or small groups looking for a compact base - this house is sized and priced for 8-10.
