The Beach Hut

The Beach Hut is a four-bedroom house in central Polzeath sleeping 8 across 3 bathrooms, a short walk from one of Cornwall's most popular surf beaches. Dogs are welcome. The house changes over on Fridays.

Inside, the kitchen has a dishwasher, and the living space has both a wood burner and an open fire - useful for shoulder-season stays when the coast gets cool in the evenings. WiFi is included. The 14-image gallery gives a clear sense of the layout across the 4 bedrooms.

Polzeath Beach is 600 metres away - a half-mile sandy beach with left and right-hand surf breaks, multiple surf schools, and RNLI lifeguards from mid-May to late September. Hire boards and wetsuits are available on the beach. Greenaway Beach is 900 metres from the house, and Daymer Bay, a sheltered estuary beach, is around 1.3 miles. A BBQ is available for the summer months. The Polzeath village has a surf shop, deli, cafes and the Oyster Catcher bar and restaurant within easy walking distance.

Best for: groups of up to 8 wanting a dog-friendly base in the middle of Polzeath, close to the surf and village amenities. Less good for: those needing on-site parking (none available) or a quieter, more rural setting away from the village.
