Carbis Bay is 3 miles by road, and St Ives is roughly 3 miles west. The South West Coast Path runs along the estuary from Hayle, linking the town to Lelant, Carbis Bay, and St Ives. Hayle itself has a rail station on the St Ives Bay Line.
**Best for:** couples or pairs wanting a low-key base with dog-friendly access to the St Ives Bay area and easy coast path walking. **Less good for:** anyone expecting a remote rural retreat - this is a working farmyard in a busy market town, and Strawberry Lane has road noise.
