The Dunes

The Dunes is a three-floor terraced cottage in Crantock village, sleeping 6 across 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. The ground floor is accessible, making it one of the more practical choices for mixed-ability groups in the area. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a BBQ for evening use, and parking is included.

Inside, the three-floor layout separates sleeping space from living space. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a washing machine are also included. Friday is the changeover day, and no pets are accepted. The property has thirty guest reviews through Sykes.

Crantock Beach is about 0.6 miles downhill, a wide National Trust-managed beach backed by dunes, with RNLI lifeguards in summer. Fistral, Newquay's main surf beach and host to national and international competitions, is about 1.1 miles across the Pentire headland. Vugga Cove is a similar 1.1 miles away. Crantock village has a 13th-century church, a village green, the Old Albion pub and a small shop. At low tide, the Gannel Estuary behind the beach opens up for kayaking and paddleboarding, a designated SSSI for its wildlife. Newquay's town centre, with its zoo, aquarium and restaurants, is a 10-minute drive.

**Less good for:** Those who want a hot tub or a dog-friendly stay.
