The Hayloft

A three-bedroom cottage on the edge of Breage near Germoe, sleeping five with two bathrooms. The cottage looks south across Mount's Bay toward St Michael's Mount, with the Lizard headland visible on clear days. Dogs welcome and parking on site. Breage village pub and the 13th-century St Breaca's church are a short walk.

The Hayloft has accessible features, an enclosed garden, dishwasher, washing machine and wifi. No wood burner or open fire. The layout works for a small family or two couples sharing - one twin and two doubles - and the ground floor is set up with mobility in mind. Underfloor heating throughout the downstairs.

Germoe parish sits between Helston and Penzance, 2 miles inland from the south coast. Praa Sands is 3.6km south, Porthleven with its harbour and Rick Stein's Cornish Arms is 3.2km east, and Rinsey Cove is 2.6km along the coast path past the National Trust Wheal Prosper engine houses. Marazion and the causeway to St Michael's Mount are 5 miles west, and Penzance with its Scilly ferry is 6 miles further on. Friday changeover.

Best for dog owners and couples who want sea views and a quiet base for west Cornwall and the Lizard. Less good for guests after walking-distance pubs and shops on the doorstep, or for groups who need a wood burner and beach-on-the-doorstep convenience.
