It's in an elevated position overlooking Porthmeor Beach - a climb from the town's waterfront and beaches, but with sea views - and central St Ives is within 500 metres. The town's cobbled streets have fishing cottages, a harbour, independent galleries, craft shops, cafes, bakeries and pubs. St Ives has four beaches for sunbathing, rock pooling, swimming and surfing, and its history as an artists' haven is on show at Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.

The apartment is reached via three steps to the hallway. Inside, an open-plan living space has a large picture window with elevated views across the town and beach, sofas, an electric feature fireplace, a TV, and a dining table for four. The compact kitchen opens off the lounge and dining area. The master bedroom is a double, with French doors into an enclosed courtyard; the second is a twin. Both share the family bathroom, which has a bath and a separate shower.

There are two outside areas: one at the front with seating for sunset views, and an enclosed decked area at the rear, accessed via the master bedroom. A garden and a BBQ are both included for al fresco cooking with those elevated views, along with on-site parking.

The Lookout sleeps 4 across 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Dogs aren't accepted. Best for couples or small families who want to be close to St Ives town and Porthmeor's surf without a car; less good for guests wanting a full digital setup or a high-end finish.
