The Wagon Linney

The Wagon Linney is a six-bedroom barn conversion for twelve on the 200-acre Lee Barton Farm estate, with 10 acres of woods and grounds, near Kilkhampton and Bude. The bedrooms are arranged across two floors and two separate staircases: one double bedroom and a shower room with a double shower sit on the ground floor, and the other five bedrooms are upstairs.

A lawned garden with furniture gives the group outside space within the shared farm grounds, with parking for four cars. WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included, and up to two dogs can stay. The kitchen has a dining area with a large rustic table and benches.

Duckpool Beach is 1.7 miles away, a remote National Trust cove with large boulders, dramatic cliffs and no facilities. Sandymouth Beach is 2.0 miles off, a National Trust beach with the 'Steeple Rock' formation, a wide golden strand at low tide and lifeguard cover in summer, and Northcott Mouth is 2.8 miles away, another dog-friendly beach year-round with rock pools and the Devil's Cauldron tidal formation. The farm setting makes this a rural base for beach drives rather than a coast-at-the-door stay, and Kilkhampton village itself has a 15th-century church known for its carved bench ends.

Friday is the changeover day.

**Best for:** a twelve-person group wanting six bedrooms, four bathrooms, farm surroundings, laundry facilities and four-car parking, with dog-friendly beaches nearby.

**Less good for:** guests wanting specific bed sizes. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking.
