Tides

Tides is a two-bedroom ground-floor apartment in St Ives, sleeping four guests across two bathrooms. It places three beaches within a short walk while keeping off-road parking for one car and a south-facing enclosed decked terrace, a useful combination for a town-centre stay with a dog in tow.

If you want a particular bed arrangement, ask about it when you book. Both bathrooms sit within the ground-floor accommodation: a king bedroom with an en-suite shower, and a twin bedroom beside the family bathroom. Lift access is available but should not be relied on alone, as the stairs are needed if it is out of service. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included, and dogs are welcome. Changeover day is Saturday.

Porthminster Beach, St Ives Harbour Beach and Porthmeor Beach, along with the shops and pubs, are all within a short walk of the apartment. St Ives itself has four beaches in total and a population of around 11,000, with the Tate St Ives gallery on Porthmeor and an artists' colony that has drawn painters to the town's light since the 1880s. **Best for:** A small family or two couples wanting two bathrooms, parking, a decked terrace and dog-friendly ground-floor accommodation close to three beaches.
