Top Deck is a two-bedroom apartment in a period building in Porthcurno, sleeping 4 across a double and a twin room. Porthcurno beach - white shell sand framed by granite cliffs - is 200 metres from the door. Dogs are welcome and parking is on site.

The apartment occupies the first floor of an imposing white building. Inside: open-plan living with bay windows, a kitchen and dining area, a double bedroom, and a twin. The two bedrooms share a single bathroom. A dishwasher and WiFi are included. There is no private outside space, but open countryside is accessible from the doorstep and the beach is close. Tennis courts sit opposite and can be hired.

Porthchapel beach is 0.8km along the coast path - smaller and quieter than Porthcurno, facing south-west with views to the Runnelstone buoy. Pedn Vounder, the naturist beach at the base of Porthcurno's eastern headland, is 1km. The Minack Theatre - an open-air amphitheatre built into the clifftop by Rowena Cade in the 1930s - is a short walk up the valley. The Telegraph Museum, which marks the site where submarine cables first connected Britain to the world from the 1870s, is at the base of the beach. Land's End is about 3 miles west on the coast path or road.

Best for couples and small families wanting to base themselves near west Cornwall's most dramatic beach within walking distance of the Minack. Less good for those needing a lot of indoor space - the apartment is compact for 4 guests.
